New Year Party at the Yelton's new home

Our first social event of 2016 was in a big, custom-crafted ranch originally built in Henderson in 1959 and brought to a refreshing elegance after many months of careful work by Macie and Criss Yelton.

While Macie gave the ladies a tour of the spacious interior, Criss led the gentlemen outside to see the new garage addition.

More than the normal number of garage doors, plus some pretty large overall dimensions suggested an extraordinary home for the Yelton's Porsches.

Criss described plans for the interior, including work spaces, room for a growing collection of automobiles, and a number of special features.

The house was a bit warmer.

Everyone brought food.

Dinner with friends. Priceless.

After dining, we moved into the home theater to watched two short videos created by Jerry Jindrich.

The first was a collection of images from each month of 2015. A variety of Beatles tunes played in the background as we were reminded of our various social and driving events. Appropriately, Drive My Car played over shots of the Porsche Experience in Atlanta.

A slight musical detour was taken to hear The Wabash Cannon Ball while shots of our Cannon Ball Bridge crossing filled the screen.

The second "slide show" gave an overview of the Porsche Parade in French Lick, highlighting the involvement of SIR-PCA members in many Parade events and activities as both volunteer workers and participants.

Our club members drove the lead and "sweeper" cars in all of the organized drives, happily sharing our great routes and scenery.

The review of 2015 was a great mid-winter reminder of the fun members can expect in 2016. The evening gave us a warm and cheerful start. Many thanks to Criss and Macie.
