D-Patrick Grand Opening Celebration

After many months of careful planning and construction, the D-Patrick's new Porsche showroom was introduced with a ribbon cutting and Grand Opening Party on August 12.

Thanks to the friendly relationship between SIR-PCA and D-Patrick, SIR members were invited to display their cars along with current D-Patrick Porsche inventory.

Several members dropped their cars off early in the morning.

A rainbow of Porsches graced the new facility for the 10:00 AM event.

By 9:45 an enthusiastic crowd had assembled.

At 10:00 D-Patrick owner Ray Farabaugh welcomed the guests and thanked club members for participation and support and introduced Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.

Mayor Winnecke expressed his appreciation for D-Patrick's contribution to the community and then joined the assembled dignitaries in cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

Afterward, everyone was invited inside to tour the facility.

Inside: new Porsches, of course, and no distractions from other brands.

The showroom is a bright, open space with exciting imagery and merchandise.

Back outside, another visual treat: a lovely 356 owned by new member JW Dollahan and his wife.

As the afternoon sun bathed the vintage Porsche in a soft glow, invited guests returned to the showroom for a formal celebration.

Naturally, there were many familiar faces from SIR-PCA.

Just Rennies provided extraordinary treats to eat.

A talented trio provided exceptional jazz background music.

Congratulations to Tony Rickets and all the folks at D-Patrick and thanks for a memorable day.
