New Harmony

Overcast skies and a chance of showers couldn't discourage SIR-PCA members from turning out for an afternoon trip to historic New Harmony.

We gathered on Diamond Avenue, chatted with friends, and...

...soon motored through rolling southwestern Indiana countryside... the picturesque and fascinating little town of New Harmony.

Our modern machinery brought a nice counterpoint to the antique setting.

Members drove 6 911s, a Boxter, a Cayman, a Panamera, and a couple of non-German makes on this outing.

First stop: Creation Station, led by Jeff Jackson, Mike Fox, and Dale Fatland.

Mark introduced us to Rick Huffman, Proprietor. Pictured behind Rick: Mark Roethemeier, Tom and Debi Michelsen, XX Jackson, Susan Jindrich, and judy Ridings.

Rick demonstrated many talents, including his musical skills. Looking on: Phil Green, XX and his son XX, Mike Fox and Dale Fatland. Listening while studying jewelry in the window: Dawn Green and Ben Tennyson.

Rick's shop features jewelry, art, stained glass (created by our own Mark Roethemeier), and the hand-crafted dulcimers he is describing to Criss Yelton.

SIR commissioned Rick to inscribe club glasses for members who made this trip..

Before meeting for dinner, members visited some of the shops and historic sights.
